Trolltech is the sponsor of the Qtopia Greenphone Innovation Grant Program. The intent of the program is to put Trolltech’s Greenphone, a Linux mobile development device open for unlimited software innovation, into the hands of top developers and have cutting edge, best of breed applications delivered.
My proposal for this grant was to post content to the Drupal content management system via the XML-RPC protocol. The device will post the content to Drupal over Bluetooth or Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). I finished the project, you can read the report in the attached PDF below. |

| I was a Google Summer of Code student. I worked on extending the case tracker module for the Drupal Content Management System. The module consisted of user interface updates and adding various features. The module itself was to function as a project manager, where projects are created and given individual tasks (cases) to users within the system. During this project I learned many various technologies such as the Drupal framework and it's API. Also I learned the jQuery library and various uses of AJAX. As well as how to collaborate on an open source project. |

| This is a company I have started for doing web application development and building websites. You can visit all the examples of the work he has done for this particular type of work. The examples can be found here in the Proxous portfolio. | ![]() |
| This is a presentation I put together for an introduction to computer science. I was teaching middle school children how to program in C++ and Java and this was intended to teach them the different areas of computer science and there applications. Click on the screen to cycle through the slides. The slideshow is in SWF format. |
| The US Navy Seabase Senior Design project concerns itself with the design and fabrication of a scale version of a TG3637 ship crane used by the US Navy for at-sea logistics operations. The following will be a discussion of the project specifications and an explanation of the task to be completed by the Computer Science division of the project, the Platform division of the project, and the Scaled Crane division of the project. The software team’s contribution to this project is to port some existing controller code from the C language into a software product called MATLAB. The code will be used in a portion of the MATLAB software called Simulink. In simulink, simulations can be run without the hardware actually being attached. When the hardware is attached it has 6 inputs from a controller called the d-Space controller. The software is meant to dampen the swing of the payload. The code will handle the motion simulated by the Platform team and stabilize the payload on the scaled crane. The software is also designed to be scaled for the large crane. This was a year long project. Below you can find the final report for the project as well as pictures of the final finished project. |

| This was a personal project in which a xbox was taken apart and a special chip was installed. The purpose of the chip was increase the functionality of the system by allowing movies to be played, networked, pictures to viewed, news, streaming video, internet radio, as well as run the linux operating system. The idea was to build this box for much cheaper then a conventional media box and can be configured to my specifications. See the attached photos to see examples of the xbox after modification. |

| This was a project I performed in my own time. It invovled creating and editing maps for the popular game First Encounter Assault Recon (F.E.A.R) using their released SDK. The idea is to build 3-Dimensional maps with physics, lighting, etc. for multiplayer use online. more info on F.E.A.R.: Offical F.E.A.R. website |
