So once again, been really busy. Haven't had much time to update this website. Just a quick little post of what has been going on. As mentioned in the last post SimpleCV 1.1 has now been released. 1.2 is underway with many features added like classifiers, pattern recognition, integrated editor in the web browser, zero installation demos, etc. Since the last post we have also moved to github which I think is helping us get much better traction than what we were using before. At the time of this post we have 25 people watching the repository. We have had a magazine article published, and an interview with Michigan Radio (NPR). Also since the last post we showcased some of our demos at the Ann Arbor Mini-makerfaire, the Detroit makerfaire, and New York Makerfaire. We had many different demos from a person counter, to cookie jar alarm, nut and bolt sorter, and a phoney x-ray machine (see photos here). To say the least the most favorite was the animation station. It basically replicated how people make cartoons. Although it isn't our main focus of Ingenuitas, it was still really cool to have a few people tell us that it was by far the coolest thing they had seen at the makerfaire, especially considering all the awesome types of projects people were showcasing. Below is a video collage of some of the animations people had made. Hopefully the next post I make I can continue to state we keep making the progress we have been.
